If you're like most people, there are times you need to actually see something demonstrated right in front of your eyes as you watch carefully before it finally clicks and you "get it." Writing the alphabet is a really good example.

Go ahead and try explaining how to write the alphabet to someone without actually showing them. It'd be downright difficult & frustrating for both of you, wouldn't it? But once you learn the basics, it's easy. And you have a sold foundation to build on. Once the basics are mastered, you can advance to putting the letters together to form words, paragraphs, pages, and books. But you'll never become a best-selling author if you can't write the letters of the alphabet. They're like building blocks or stepping stones on the road to success.
